I’m Claire Kim, the Operations Manager here at Code For Kids. I’m different than what you’d expect from someone helping run a coding school. I’m currently studying Life Sciences and Math in my fourth year at Queen’s, and I have no experience at all in Computer Science!

I’ve decided to start my journey in learning to code with HTML/CSS. This is a common starting point for many people. I am starting with HTML/CSS for a couple of reasons.
- I’d like to make and modify websites
- Its easy to get started in
- I can expand onto my new found knowledge with Javascript, jQuery, Ruby,Etc…

Hello everyone - I'm Matt. I've recently joined the Code For Kids team to help out as its Marketing Manager. That means I'll be helping to promote and build the Code For Kids brand as we seek world domi... erm... code inspiration.
My interests have always been in digital. One summer, when I was about 11 or 12, I had the choice of going to a summer camp or doing something otherwise productive with my time. That's when I decided to learn HTML.

Just like everyone here at Code for Kids, they all want kids involved in coding. I spent the better part of two hours composing a blog post explaining the benefits of kids and programming. This video says it so much better. In this short film some of the brightest minds in the the tech industry break down what it is to be a coder and the impact it has on our everyday lives.
